Non-Degree Seeking Students

Students taking online/distance education courses for teacher certification, professional development or as refresher courses must complete an online non-degree application before they are eligible to take any non-degree courses. Please do not use the online non-degree application if you are planning on taking on-campus courses. Applications for non-degree status should be submitted no more than four weeks prior to the semester in which you wish to take courses. The application deadline is the first day of the Drop / Add period of the given semester. See Critical Dates and Deadlines for more information.

The online non-degree application consists of three sections/pages that must be filled out completely before submitting the application. After each section is completed you hit the send button and it will take you to another page with instructions. If you claim Florida residency on the application, make sure to provide the information requested (voter registration, driver's license, and vehicle registration). Failure to provide the requested information about residency will result in you being coded as an out of state resident and subject to out of state tuition and fees. Applications that are incomplete or missing contact or residency information cannot be processed.

Your online non-degree application has not been successfully submitted until you get this message: Thank you for submitting your application for non-degree status at the University of Florida. Your application will be reviewed by the college to which you applied, and you will be notified of a decision by e-mail or mail. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Registrar's Office at (352) 392-1374 ext. 7237.

Students are responsible for paying their student fees before the fee payment deadline by using ISIS. You must have a gatorlink username and password to use the ISIS system.
