Director: Dr. T. Grady Roberts

Dr. Roberts is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Education in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication at the University of Florida. Prior to joining this department in 2008, Dr. Roberts was a faculty member in agricultural education at Texas A&M University for four years. He holds BS, MAg, and PhD degrees in agricultural education and communication from UF, with a program emphasis in teaching and learning and distance education. His research interests include experiential learning and teaching and learning in university settings. He is author/co-author of 40 refereed journal articles and 48 refereed conference research papers. Dr. Roberts has been recognized on six different occasions with outstanding conference paper/poster awards and has served as Co-PI on five externally funded grants totaling nearly $400,000. Dr. Roberts teaches courses in experiential learning, teaching methods, and college teaching. He received the 2010 Excellence in University Teaching Award (New Faculty category) from the United State Department of Agriculture and a 2009 North American College of Teachers of Agriculture Teacher Fellow. Dr. Roberts currently serves as the Director of the University of Florida, College of Agricultural Life Sciences' Teaching Resource Center (TRC), providing expertise and guidance to faculty on a variety of teaching and learning topics. He is currently the editor of the Journal of Agricultural Education.

Program Coordinator: Natalie Coers

Natalie Coers is a Program Coordinator for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) at the University of Florida. In this role, she works with two programs: 1) CALS Leadership Institute - a program that incorporates leadership development, international service, and mentoring over a 3-semester period for selected undergraduate students and 2) CALS Teaching Resource Center. Her responsibilities with the TRC include coordinating teaching enhancement events, assisting with Teachers College and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning group, and organizing the annual Teaching Enhancement Symposium. Before coming to UF in Fall 2010, Natalie earned her Master of Agricultural Leadership from the University of Georgia and a B.S. in Agricultural and Environmental Communications and Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
